Florida Delta was founded by a group who called themselves ENOTAS. Founding members include William H. Lamkin III, Dave Searles, Dave Shobe, Frank Winkles, John Fantone, Rich Lane, Curtis Loftin others... These are some email I've received from ENOTAS about events and people. | "Brother Wunderlich was USF Vice President of Student Affairs in the 1960’s, and a key advisor to ENOTAS. He also wrote the recommendation letter that convinced Harvard Business School to accept my application. Bill, Susan and I had the great pleasure of visiting Herb and Helen Wunderlich in St. Maries, ID about 5 years ago. He had suffered from three strokes, but still had a keen mind. While we were in his home, he showed us a recent letter from David Shobe. Herb passed away last year." --- In an email from David Searles on 1/21/2005 Mr. Herbert J. Wunderlich was initiated on 2/8/1925 and active at Idaho Alpha. | "I was one of the early members before the SAE chapter even existed. I transferred from Univ. of Florida where I was actually initiated as an SAE. I was also initiated into ENOTAS and was one of the founders who promoted the induction of ENOTAS into SAE. When I was a pledge we had to memorise all the founders of our chapter and the early history.... I graduated in 1967. Dave Searles, Dave Shobe, Frank Winkles, John Fantone, Rich Lane as well as many others were classmates of mine. Shortly after graduation I moved to New England then to California and I have just returned from living in Asia for the last 6 years. I'm in the computer software business and have been running worldwide software sales organizations that sell to semiconductor and other high tech manufacturing companies. Phi Alpha" --- An email from William H. Lamkin III on 1/21/2005 More from David Searles on the same date: "As John Fantone will confirm, there would not be a Florida Delta without Bill Lamkin. He transferred to USF at a crucial time in the evolution of ENOTAS. Bill guided us carefully through the challenges of convincing the SAE Extension Committee that ENOTAS was worthy. He also served the University as Chief Justice. Bill, we all owe you a sincere tribute. Phi Alpha, David"
